International cooperation

WFSA
All our national societies are members of the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists. www.anaesthesiologists.org

NAF and SFAI are members of the World Federation of Societies of Intensive and Critical Care Medicine (and so is the Finnish Society of intensive Care) www.world-critical-care.org
ESA

All our national societies are represented in the European Society of Anaesthesiology through NASC (National Anaesthesia Societies Committee) www.euroanesthesia.org/esa/NASC.php

Education support to other countries:
Before the reorganisation of SSAI, the ”old” NAF had a long record of supporting other societies, especially in the Baltic region.
in January 2007, the Board of SSAI decided to support educational efforts in low income countries through the Education Committee by sending teachers to meetings and courses, especially through FEEA The Foundation for European Education in Anaesthesiology is active throughout the world for post graduate education in anaesthesia. They are often arranged in conjunction with national and regional meetings. Hence, the international speakers will often be able to combine FEEA teaching with speaking at major meetings. www.feea.net
SSAI has also supported SSAI congress participation for colleagues from countries with less opportunity to attend international meetings.
Further international co-operation is continuously being assessed.
