The Board of the Scandinavian Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine (SSAI)has also initiated a Position Paper on the future of the speciality in Scandinavia. Education, both in theoretical, practical and communicative skills, is demanding in order prepare Scandinavian anaesthesiologists as leaders in perioperative, intensive care, pain and critical emergency medicine in the future.
