Annoncement from the Election Committee

At the general assembly in Bergen June 2011, a new president for SSAI is going to be elected. According to the rules of SSAI an election committee was formed. Members of the Election Committee were former SSAI Congress presidents from all the five Scandinavian countries. We asked the societies in the different Scandinavian countries, if they had candidates. It became clear that Finland, Iceland and Denmark as well as Norway have no candidates for the post as new president for SSAI. In Sweden former general secretary of SSAI Sigridur Kalman was willing to become new president of SSAI. The Election Committee considered Sigridur Kalman, who has been general secretary of SSAI for several years as very qualified to the task. The Election Committee therefore proposed Sigridur Kalman for the general assembly as new president for SSAI.
There was also general agreement in The Election Committee that we want to nominate Anne Berit Guttormsen from Norway as a new general secretary in SSAI. Anne Berit Guttormsen also has years of experience within the SSAI organization.
