InFACT – International network for acute care trialist – is a global collaboration of clinicians and researchers working in intensive care units around the world. It is a ‘network of networks’ and represents all the major critical care trial groups.
Presently, InFACT is committed to improve the care of patients with severe H1N1 infection through high quality clinical research into its natural history and optimal treatment.

InFACT has produced (i) a common minimal dataset for the influenza registries, (ii) a model for the conduct of RCT during the pandemic and (iii) a position letter published in Lancet and an ethical paper in press.
